Our Favorite Fall 2016 Events in Atlanta

Football, cool jazz, music festival mayhem and grown men dressed as Power Rangers parading down Peachtree—yep, it’s fall in Atlanta. We love this time of year, as it brings a diverse array of events to town. Here are our picks for the best events in Atlanta this season!

The Don’t-Miss Events from Alan, our Owner and CEO:

Goo Goo Dolls and Collective Soul – Sunday, Sept. 4, at Chastain Amphitheater

Hometown heroes Collective Soul hit the road with the Goo Goo Dolls this summer. They’re on the last leg of their tour this weekend, so be sure to catch them now. Tribe Society opens. Find tickets here.

Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, UNC vs. UGA – Saturday, Sept. 3, at The Georgia Dome

Are you ready for some football? We sure are! The South’s favorite Saturday pastime kicks off with an ACC-SEC matchup that’s sure to raise the roof at the Dome. Tickets are sold out, but you can catch the game on TV or online, or check out the other events at the Kickoff site here.

Friday Jazz featuring Kevin Scott – Friday, Sept. 16, at The High Museum of Art

Every third Friday, the High features music, drinks and art in the Atrium. In September, the go-to bassist for a variety of genres will bring his sound to town. The event is free with half-price museum admission. Find out more here.

Amos Lee – Friday, Sept. 23, at The Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre

This singer-songwriter is on the rise. His latest single, “Vaporize,” has been released at all digital retailers. This is the first release from his forthcoming sixth full-length album and debut for John Varvatos Records/Republic Records. Great keyboards and a silky, soulful delivery have earned him acclaim from the New York Times and appearances on Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimble, and other shows. Find out more and purchase tickets here
